Game On!!!!!
Wow. Has it been a year? And I haven't emailed a single one of you? For shame Aaron, for shame.

Truth of the matter is that I had about 150 people sign up, and I didn't have any way of emailing but 20 at a time... And I'm a lazy, lazy man.

So what do we have in store this year? Well, I thought, "okay,... I've done the first ever broadcast of a Chondro hatching (which was stupid cool), but where do I go from here?" Well.. simple really. I think we are all curious as to how it all happens.. How many of us wouldn't love to have video of our OWN conceptions?

*cough*

So, I figured this time, I'd like to have everyone get to know the parents. Now, nothing may come of this (she is very much not interested in him right now), but something may come of it, and in that case,... well, that would be pretty darn cool.

So without further ado, let me introduce you to mom and dad.

MOM

Mom is a Biak Island Type of Chondro... High yellow, High white (which isn't that common at all in Biaks, which makes this a really exciting mommy), and a nasty-ass temperament to boot. She's quite the looker, here she is this past summer in a glamor shot

DAD

Dad is another Biak Island Type of Chondro, but a bit different (!) than the normal. He's got these great yellow blotches on his back, and a super-rich green color. He's definitely the looker, and quite possibly one of the most beautiful animals I have in my house right now. He's on loan/stolen from another Chondro breeder friend of mine, Kim. Thanks for the snake. I'll make sure you get your share of babies, but you may have to put out an APB for this fella when all of this is over.

And finally, From Wiki:

The Green Tree Python is a species of tree-dwelling python native to New Guinea, various islands in Indonesia, and the northern tip of Eastern Australia (Cape York Peninsula). Green Tree Pythons are arboreal snakes and inhabit jungles, bamboo thickets and monsoonal forests. Between localities, there are several supposed patterning differences; for example, specimens from Aru Island, Indonesia typically have more white spotting than those from say, Papua New Guinea or can be bred to have bright blue or specled blue and green patterns

Green Tree Python neonates can range from highlighter yellow to brick red or brown. Juvenilles are born fully developed hatched from eggs incubated by the female snake on the forest floor. Females can often give birth to 12-25 eggs in a clutch. Every adult has slightly different colouration, but most are green with some variation, depending on selective breeding or locality. In addition to several designer patterns recently breeders have produced an Albino animal. While some feel they are aggressive, most animals can be handled during daylight hours with no issues.
